It was late in the afternoon, just after 4 p.m., when an urgent call came through. A client was in a bind and needed immediate support for the very next morning. But there was one catch they weren’t asking for just anyone. They specifically requested one of our elite Service Techs. In their words, they had to have HIM!
That gave us less than 17 hours to make it happen. I knew it would take some juggling, but This Tech has always been the kind of person who goes above and beyond for clients. I worked behind the scenes to rearrange his schedule, move some commitments around, and make sure he could be there. By the end of the evening, everything was set: He would be on-site at 9 a.m. to support their meeting for four hours.
The next morning, Our Tech arrived right on time, ready to deliver. But almost immediately, we ran into a surprise the meeting wasn’t actually that day. It was scheduled for the next day. Unfortunately, he already had a prior engagement and couldn’t shift his schedule again.
The client, however, wouldn’t budge. They wanted This Tech involved no matter what. That’s how highly they valued his support.
So, we came up with a creative compromise. He would be there at the very beginning to set everything up, make sure the technology ran flawlessly, and then hand things over to one of his helpers. Tech would monitor the meeting from start to finish, and once it was wrapped up, Or Elite Tech would return to closing everything out.
It wasn’t the original plan, but it turned into a perfect solution. The client got what they asked for, the meeting ran without a single issue, and everyone walked away satisfied. Sometimes the best outcomes come from a little flexibility and teamwork.
